It's another Mindful Monday. Today, we should be mindful not to be a respecter of persons; that is favoritism. Whether in our home, workplace, social media, or fellowship. James 2:1 says "My brethren, have not the faith of Yahushua Hamashiach, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons." This chapter went on to further describe the man in "goodly apparel" vs the man in "vile raiment.' (v.2)
As a nation, let's avoid returning to the old man and prejudging. Assist when you can, support when you can, lead if you can, and manage when you can without assigning roles and positions showing favoritism. When we box individuals in, we are being partial, and become judges of evil thoughts (James 2:5). Remember, what we see with our bare eyes is all fluff. Take the time to get to know someone without prejudging.
