Was thinking about how my people have pretty much always had a tough time. From the ancient days of old, whether bondage in Egypt, being taken into captivity by King Nebuchadnezzar and now in the land of our captivity. Many of my people don't read the scriptures to know who they are and where they come from. Everyone has a history. It's just for some people groups, that history is being hidden from them, being told in a false narrative or has been completely erased. The point is that my people have had to deal with mistreatment, discrimination and hatred for many years. Many of my people are becoming wearing, are losing hope and want to give up. Some have taken their own lives because they just can't handle what they have to deal with in their own personal lives and with what they must endure being a person of color in the U.S. Those who are not people of color will never understand, and I don't expect them to. But for me and my people, life can get difficult trying to juggle one's personal life and deal with systematic detriments because of one's ethnicity. One thing I do know and want my people to understand is that The Most High sees and knows all we've been through and what we are still going through. And although many will say He's finished with us, this is not what He told us in the scriptures. My hope and trust remains in Him and as I read Psalm 94, I know He will some day put an end to our hardships as a people and exact judgement on those who treated us so harshly. #dontgiveup
