I am studying the Book of Jeremiah. Last week I was struck by Chapter 13 when Jeremiah was called to bury a girdle and retrieved it after. It was marred and filthy. Let's pick it up from vs. 9. "Thus saith Yah, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem. v. 10 This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their hear, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even he as this girdle, which is good for nothing v. 11 For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I cause to cleave unto me the whole house of Judah, saith Yah,; that they might be unto me for a people and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear."
This analogy or metaphor of a girdle, was a staple back in the day that really cinched the waist line. Now that's tight right? SO, The God of Israel said in vs. 11 so He has cleave to the whole house of Israel and Judah.... but they would not hear. That should stir you into action. v. 10 says we refuse to hear His words. Family, we are still here, please let's continue to repent, praise Yah, keep the commandments, regain order and be a light to the world which we are called to be. APPTMH
