Our meeting on Shabbat hit home. Although we are all melanated, we are not all family. Not everyone can be trusted. In my time learning about who I am as a Hebrew, I'd have to say it's a very joyous yet painful period. When I call someone family, I mean it. And when people turn on you or provoke a situation, it hurts. I hate to admit, that gentiles would treat me better. I hate to say that I'd rather be alone. This is a very lonely period in time. Abba be my shalom.
