Reality
by: Debra Carruthers-Craig 1987
Shattered my dreams, hopes, and beliefs
Reality
Took advantage of my strength, gifts, and gold
Reality
Came to me dressed, as a thief
Reality
Now I know, I am the captain of this ship
Reality
And I’ll guide it to the best port
Reality
I am on a journey to refill my cargo with
Reality
Never again can my dreams, hopes, or beliefs
Be shattered, nor can my strength, gifts, or
Gold, be taken away, for you see, now I am,
Reality
