It has been said that all people are living history. If this is true, understanding the connections between past and present is essential for recognizing the purpose of the journey of life. As descendants of the ancient Israelites, we may appear to only represent a historical record of spiritual and physical hardship, a people fearful of the enemy. But there are invaluable lessons to be learned from the inherited legacy of slavery. What the enemy meant for our destruction has been working together for our good.
