It's another Non-Toxic Tuesday. Today's reading stems from the Book of Revelation and the 7 churches. More specifically, the Church of Laodecia (lukewarm) church jumped out today. So we know in v.16 indicated because the church is neither cold nor hot, they will spued out but in v. 17 drilled down further as to the reason why the church was neither cold nor hot. v. 17 states "because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and know that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. WOW. Also, v. 18 I counsel you to buy of me gold tried n the fire, that you may be rich and white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness do not appear, and anoint your eyes with eyesalve, that you may see.
So a couple of observations, (1) I have not seen before understanding what we define as rich is not what TMH defines as riches, actually it is the antithesis of riches. (2) v. 18 I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire. For me, this speaks to our trials and tribulations, when we go through it is our purification. We should indeed be patient and know joy cometh in the morning. (3)v 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. So, if you are going it, keep praying and know TMH loves you. Do NOT turn right or left, keep your eye on TMH. APTTMH!
Today's reading reminded me and I wanted to remind the family. You are the apple of HIS eye.
