Growing up and living in DC, I went to many of Dr. Welsing's lectures and met her on 4 separate occasions. The first time I met her, I was amazed at how tall she was. It was a very hot summer day and there was a festival downtown on freedom plaza. I was there with my 6 month old son and my home slice Thomas. Dr. Welsing said is that you baby in the stroller?, yes - I said. Then she asked are you married to his mother? again my reply was yes. She said well you get 3 stars for today, 1 for being a black man out with his child and 2 for being married to the child's mother. then shy asked are you and your together? again my reply was yes. Beging together was my 3rd star. I will never for
