The first Temple built by King Solomon was burned by the Babylonians (according to historians) in 586 BC

The second Temple rebuilt by Ezra, Nehemiah, and Zerubbabel in 516 BC and updated by Herod in 30 BC was burned by the Romans in 70 AD

The 12 Spies were sent to spy out the land of Canaan:
