The Real ID Act goes into effect on 05/7/2025 (they serious this time lol). They say you CANT travel without one but is that true? Do you need to rush to go get one? No. The current procedure I have is that you will be subjected to some form of "additional screening" and you will still be allowed to travel. Just come early enough to deal with the foolishness they on.

There are forms that are acceptable already like a passport or a military ID.

They have been keeping us in the dark as to how things will develop in the future so thats all I got for now. Either the govt. is disorganized and unprofessional or they are doing it on purpose. Either way ill keep yall posted. If you have any questions about travel and airport security don't hesitate to contact me. The last thing I want are my people stressed because of lack of knowledge while traveling....

HalleluYAH, thanks for sharing. I still haven't gotten a passport and didn't want to act based on fear. I saw some people talking about May 7th being the last day. How can we get one and how long does it take to receive it in the mail? Im not that educated on this stuff and not sure whats going on in the world

This information is greatly appreciated. Todah Rabah! I've legally had my name changed and I was told it's not a great idea to get it changed on my birth certificate nonetheless my social security card is updated and my regular state ID or license. When considering traveling abroad I'm hoping that I don't run in to any issues since my passport has my birth name. I don't think so per se but you never know what these Jokers so any thoughts you had would be considered. Shalom
