Do you buy or sell anything on the Sabbath (Shabbat)?

According to Nehemiah 10:31 and Nehemiah 13:15-21, buying and selling on the Sabbath was strictly forbidden.

No – I don’t buy or sell anything at all on the Sabbath.
I try not to, but sometimes I fall short.

Once heading to Sabbath fellowship, it felt like zero degrees, and I had a flat. I recall Luke 14:5, pulling one's ox out of a pit on the Sabbath. I paid a dollar for air and went to a fellowship.
