My daughter and I were doing Scripture Reading yesterday. We just ended Wayyiqra (Leviticus) and started Bemid̀±bar (Numbers) 1, and I got to verse 17 where it says: "And Mosheh and Aharon took these men who were called by name," and I said, "Wow, Master YAHUAH called these men by name, can you imagine that?"
My 8-year-old daughter, who was listening to the reading while working on some art and crafts, without looking up, said, "And yet, they tried to change His!"
The simplicity and depth of her comment.... We are so incredibly baruch (blessed) to have been reintroduced to our Creator's Name. I am so grateful to be alive at this time to have heard His True Name spoken, to be able to call on it.
It begs the question:
Why do so many insist on calling the Elohim of the Scriptures, 'God' and 'Lord' when He specifically called the leaders of the tribes of Yashar'el by name?
