“Come out of her, My people…” But to what?

We hear this call often: “Come out of her, My people, lest you share in her sins and receive of her plagues” (Ḥazon (Revelation) 18:4). And rightly so. We are not to be conformed to this world or its systems. We are not to be enslaved to Babylon; to its comforts, its demands, or its illusions of success. But here's the question I don’t hear enough:

What are we coming out to?

It’s one thing to leave a system that doesn’t honor the Master YAHUAH, but what are we building in its place? What are we replacing it with in our everyday lives? What does it mean to live Torah? Not just in feasts and Shabbats, but in trade, in economics, in stewardship, and in how we serve one another?

We quote that we are to be in the world, but not of it. But for many, that line is blurry because we still need income. We still need food. We still live in houses and pay bills. And while we’re no longer partaking in pagan celebrations or aligning with Babylon’s values, we still function inside of its economic mindset, i.e., working jobs that don't reflect our calling, feeling torn between obedience and survival.

But here's the truth: the Master YAHUAH didn't call His people into the wilderness just to sit and wait. He gave instructions. He assigned roles. He prepared His people to function like a nation. The Torah is more than a moral code. It's a constitution and a framework for a society. One where each person has a purpose, where no one is idle, and where daily life itself becomes worship.

So if you’ve heard the call to come out, ask yourself...
What are you stepping into?
Have you identified your role?
Do you know what you’ve been given to steward?
What skill, insight, or resource has YAHUAH entrusted you with that is meant to serve the community?

Because we’re not just exiting Babylon. We’re preparing for a Kingdom.
And that means building NOW.

If you’ve been feeling the call but aren’t quite sure what it looks like practically, economically, or even spiritually, I invite you to book a time with me. Let’s talk. No pressure or payment. Just a conversation between two members of a family seeking to walk in obedience.
