I'm not sure but the only thing that comes to mind is the "scapegoat" ceremony when Yashar'el would send one goat into the wilderness for Azazel and another goat was sacrificed. This is found in Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 16: 1-28 with verse 29 outlining the "seventh new moon, on the tenth day of the new moon" (Yom haKippurim) and then in verse 34 saying, "this shall be for you a law forever, to make atonement for the children of Yashar'el, for all their sins, once a year".
