Christianity, in its earliest form, was NEVER rooted in Torah observance, keeping the seventh-day Shabbat, observing Yahuah's appointed times, following dietary laws, practicing circumcision, and maintaining the covenant identity of Israel. The first followers of Yeshua were Torah-observant Hebrews who saw Him as the fulfillment and continuation of the covenant rather than a replacement of it.
Right out the gate, it was headed in the opposite direction.
