In school we all learned about Hitler and the Holocaust. Where he killed 1.3 million Jews and this was unacceptable. But we never learned about Leopold II king of Belgium. And, indeed, it is estimated that up to 15 million people died during Leopold II’s rule. He also cut off the right hands of the people of Congo if they did not have his rubber on time.
