Today is the day of Atonement and these words were given to me. After writing them down I cried and praised Yah because I am not worthy, but he deems me worthy.
Atonement, what is atonement? a google search will say, "it is reparation for a wrong or injury."
Reparation, what is reparation? a google search would say, "the making of amends for a wrong one has done, by paying money to or otherwise helping those who have been wronged."
Amends, what is Amends? a google search will show, to modify, to make better; improve, make minor changes.
So, with that said the day of Atonement is a day we make reparations to the Most High Yah. We are to confess our sins and make a sacrifice to Yah, while making changes for improvement as we continue on throughout the rest of the year.
In the old testament our people made living sacrifices through animals. Aaron atoned for the children of Yashar'el with kids and a ram. But since Yahusha being our ultimate sacrifice we do not need to kill these animals. The living sacrifice on this day is you (the flesh) you (the soul). Leviticus 23:27, in this verse Yahuah clearly states "ye shall afflict et your souls..."
Afflict, but what does it mean to afflict? a google search would show you, cause pain or suffering to, knocked down, weakened. We are to allow our souls, our flesh, to suffer to be in pain to be knocked down and even weakened. But why would Yah want me to cause pain to myself, why not? I ask. When a bone is broken and has to be reset while healing you experience pain, and your doctor will smile and say that is good, this means you are healing! Yashar'el we are a broken people and Yahuah ask us to slow down once a year and reset the bone. With this reset comes modification that will make the bone better, and as it heals we have pain and that is tov!
So, take a step back Yashar'el look within and offer those things that is not of Yah to Him to be burned with fire as a sacrifice. Then make the change to turn away from them to become a better person, a better people, a people who chase after Yah's own heart.
HalleluYah!
