Hi Family, I do have a question: When I am at work, Music is sometimes played in the background. I try to block it out... Trying to think on scripture, or a song to counter it.. but when I leave work then the song or songs are now in my head.. Does anyone have any ideas how I can fight this.? I feel like its creating a problem of these songs that I didnt have to fight, now I have to fight!! to not remain in my space in my mind. I thank you in advance for any ideas, I could try.

As a former gamer who was really into video game soundtracks. This still happens to me a lot. I had to replace that love of video games and their music with love for set apart songs. Here are some artist I recommend you try:

Yahudah Shalom
Sounds of Sinai
Aviyah
BritYah
Lorvins
Nathiel Shalom
Open Writers

There are many more, I recommend just giving it a shot. When I find my mind being oppressed with music I like to play songs from these artist in my head. Once you listen to them enough it's becomes easy to fight these worldy songs. I also recommend the first thing you do though is pray to father Yah and ask him to give you strength.

I may have some advice that will help. I'm going to share with you my tactics for dealing with worldly music. You may already do some or all of them. But here goes. #1 When you hear this music dont EVER bob or nod your head to it (those are gestures of agreement and you don't want to agree to what they are talking about. #2 call it out for what it is as soon as you hear it, even if you're just talking to yourself (I do a top SIN countdown). Every wicked thing they say I call it out aloud like 1. Lust, 2. Blasphemy 3. adultry etc bringing to the forefront what is actually at play here really helped me to stop singing along with worldly songs... Everytime I catch myself even in my head I confront it like "oh Rayach you agree with those black men killing one another huh?" I literally say that in my own head and force myself to give an answer for why then am I bobbing my head. This helped me a lot. Now when I hear it I think about the blasphemy used over a timely beat to destroy me and I treat it like a personal attack. When asked to listen to music or a beat I do the same thing TOO THE PERSON WHO BRINGS IT TO ME🤣🤷🏿‍♀️🤣. Just a few things I do. The list is way long so I'll just stop here. What do you think?

I feel for you sis thats hard. I dont like when a secular song gets stuck in my head either and it happens sometimes when i go to the store even. I like the advice given it is helpful. But to get bombarded all day long at work is a lot of work. I will be praying for you.

Shalawam mishpahcah yahudium shal yashar’el. Something came to me as I was talking to some youths. I asked them what they thought about black panther. And one of the youths told me wakanda forever. My brother was a black panther, I remember wanting to be him. I remember the uniform and wanting to ware one, one day and protect my people. Again they gave us the old switch and bait. It’s bad enough that we have to share black history month Chinese new year and with the alphabet people. But hey the history that is given us isn’t positive at all. It’s all about the mistreatment of our people. But what about our people who fought back and won, they truly don’t like talking about Marcus Garvey or Nat turner . What say ye yahudium shal yashar’el? How does it make you feel?
