I am studying about the Hebrew prophets of Yah. 1. Their function is to have the Word of Yah in their mouth. 2. To be able to read, proclaim, to give understanding to the listener of the Torah (Genesis to Revelation). (Isaiah 29:10-12, Micah 3:6) 2a. They are able to give a Hebraic and spiritual understanding of the stories and parables in the Torah. This defines the prophets of Yah.
Do you remember, "My people are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge?" That lack really was a refusal to read and listen to the Torah. But also, the verse before this is that the prophets would be blind. Unable to give understanding to the people.
The people will go to the prophets and ask Read this, give me understanding. And they will reply, "I CAN"T!"
