Gossip can destroy trust, sow division, and hurt the spirit of a community. The Bible warns us not to be “busy­bodies” or “tale­bearers” (Proverbs 20:19, 1 Timothy 5:13).

If a church community is full of gossipers, those who spread private matters, stir up drama, or speak on things they don’t truly know, is this in line with Scripture?

No — gossip clearly goes against the Word.
Yes — it’s human nature, we all fall short.

Prov 6:16-19: 6 things YAH hates, and 7 is an abomination: lying, feet to mischief, a lying tongue, a person who stirs strife, all of which fall under the category of things YAH hates. Here is the thing, it does not matter whether it is within fellowship, at the job, at home etc, the location does not matter; however, the elder within the fellowship needs to take action to remove the leaven, since a bit of leaven leavens the whole lump. It starts with a meeting with the person and/or witnesses to address the situation in love and show him/her the error of his/her ways. Coming out of the filth of Babylon, the offender may not be cognizant of this, so there is grace, and it should be handled in confidence. This is typically a tough one for Yashar'el

Gossip: casual or unconstrained conversation or reports about other people, typically involving details that are not confirmed as being true.

Spreading lies and unconfirmed details as if it is the truth is a no for sure. But just because something is unconfirmed or we may have suspicions or a genuine curiosity about someone or thing, we can still talk about it. I think that’s where wisdom comes in and we need to know when and where to bring something up, who to bring it up with, then if we do think carefully before we speak: “is this coming from mal intent?”, “am I basing my opinion on righteousness?”, “am I giving the subject mercy?”

Oh I didn’t expand the post and fully read the second part haha. But for that example no it’s definitely no align with scripture and that type of community needs to be repaired

Some believe the Apocrypha should be treated as equal to the Bible, while others see it as valuable history but not inspired Scripture.

If we’re called to live “by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Most High” (Matthew 4:4), should the Apocrypha hold the same authority as the Bible?

Yes — it should be treated equal to the Bible.
No — it’s historical but not authoritative Scripture.
Parts can be useful, but it’s not on the same level.

Tough one. I've read the apocrypha and hold the prophets or the scribe like Baruch with the same respect once it is aligned with the 66. Some like the Maccabees is historical and lays a solid foundation to our history.

Some leaders say we shouldn’t watch or subscribe to other churches online. But if we’re truly rooted in Scripture and have the ability to discern truth, does forbidding us from hearing others show spiritual protection, or does it reveal insecurity and a lack of trust in our discernment?

I’m still learning, but I do enjoy watching other teachers. Am I wrong? At the end of the day, our loyalty is to the Most High, not to man (Acts 5:29).

It shows wise spiritual protection.
It shows insecurity and lack of trust in the flock.
Believers should test all teachings themselves (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
This is cult like behavior, run.

As a leader and authority in a Ministry you cannot and should not seek to control people. People are lawless anyway and will rebel either openly or secretly and do what they want. That said, everyone should be submitted to the authority of the Ministry or Assembly they are submitting to. If they don't trust the wisdom or leadership of a Ministry or Assembly, they should seek TMH to guide them to where they are appointed to be. Too many teachers will bring confusion. When I personally encounter people with tickling ears I know their prayer life is trash and non-existent. Same thing for people chasing after the next book. Their prayer life is suffering.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. I agree that submission to righteous leadership is important (Hebrews 13:17), but true submission can’t be forced — it’s built on trust and proven guidance over time.

As someone still learning the truth, I believe it’s wise to test all teachings and build my own understanding (1 John 4:1). Trust is something that grows as leaders show good fruit (Matthew 7:16-2, not just by position alone.

I don’t see listening to other teachers as having ‘itching ears’ (2 Timothy 4:3-4), but rather as being like the Bereans who searched the Scriptures daily to confirm what they heard (Acts 17:11).

At the end of the day, our loyalty should always be to the Most High above all (Acts 5:29). Thank you for sharing — iron truly sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).
