For anyone travelling to Jamaica soon, here is a restaurant suggestion.
So, my ‘sissy from another mama missy’ called me up and told me she was going to ‘Jus Salads.’ She asked me if I wanted anything. I was not in a mood for salads and so I thought ‘Mi, nuh waan nuh salad.’ I said as much to my sissy and she invited me to take a look at the restaurant’s website.

Today, I’ll only focus on what I chose. I selected the callaloo quiche. (As, I thought about writing this review it occurred to me that subtly, the restaurant caught me. Even though I wasn’t going for a salad, they still ended up enticing me with a vegetable. Callaloo is vegetable don’t it?)
Anyway, back to the business of the review. I think the price of the quiche was reasonable. Probably a $$ if I were to rank it. I was satisfied with the size of the quiche. For take-out, I was pleasantly surprised that it arrived warm. I also liked the presentation. It was tucked in an opaque clamshell type container.
It took a lot to resist eating it right away but having just eaten a scrumptious ackee and saltfish breakfast, I thought it was wise to wait. I ended up reheating it in the toaster oven. I’m pleased to announce that it stood up to reheating well. There was no soggy bottom either! The quiche was filled with proper portions of cheese and callaloo. It didn’t have an eggy flavor which is awesome! The bites that I had which were dense with callaloo were very tasty. The callaloo seems to have soaked up the seasonings quite well. The pastry was also enjoyable and seemed to be independently seasoned, so that when I had a bite that was only pastry it remained a delicious eat. This flavourful experience has piqued my interest and I would definitely want to visit the restaurant in person. Jus Salads, duh yuh ting! Hope to see you soon.
