Preparing to leave…So, I have been feeling in my spirit lately that we maybe getting close to the time. I have been feeling a lot of uneasiness about the things that are going on in the “states” right now…Things that don’t lineup with my own internal values. I have been reflecting on how I can prepare to leave so when the time comes my family and I will be ready. Remember how Lot and his family had to leave in haste…It has been said that Lot’s wife was not prepared to leave their former land behind -at least not mentally maybe (?)-Gen19:26: She looked back. So, I ask myself am I mentally and spiritually prepared to leave even though I don’t know all the details (i.e, When, where, and how we are going)? Babylon can stick to you like glue- especially if it is all you have known your entire life. If I am honest with myself-I can admit that Babylon allows me the luxury of living in two worlds. One in righteousness (internally at least) or one in debauchery. I use to be able to shake it off and not be so impacted by it (the Babylonian ways) but as time goes on it is getting harder and harder to do so. Everything is “normalized”.
So, while we wait on deliverance what can we do to prepare to go to new lands? Here are somethings in my own walk that I am starting to be more conscious about as I prepare to leave:
-Praying to Yah to prepare my mind and spirit to leave.
-Stay in repentance.
-Stay in the word.
-Pray for strength.
-Checking my fears: Going to a new land would be SCARY! The saying “Better the devil you know” comes to mind.
-House clean: Spiritually and physically. Praying to Yah that He will reveal to me places within myself that I need to clean up spiritually. Where I need His Light. Physically, this summer I have been packing up a lot more things to giveaway to charity. I have been doing this for awhile now off and on.
-Praying that the Spirit will open the eyes of my family and friends. This is a tough one for me but I have come to realize that only the Spirit can reveal this to them. We can’t vote our way out of it or think things will get better-IMO.
-Consider investing in life jackets.
-Getting plenty of rest and exercise.
-Sticking with healthy eating habits.
Genesis 19: 12-17
12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it.
14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the Lord being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
#mindful Monday
It's another Mindful Monday. As broken branches, we must recall the reason for our condition: unbelief. Romans 11:20 " because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith, be not high-minded but fear." Join us on Hebrew Connect TV as we cultivate and GROW in YAH's character.
Written by Dawid (David) while fleeing from Absalom, his own son, this psalm is a cry of trust in the face of betrayal, danger, and fear.
“But You, YAH, are a shield around me, My esteem, and the One who lifts up my head.” (Psalm 3:3)
This psalm reminds us that no matter how many rise against us, Yahuah delivers, protects, and sustains those who trust in Him.
May this reading strengthen your faith in YAH’s deliverance today.
On a beautiful Sunday, I remain eternally grateful for life, family, fellowship, and THE TRUTH. This image reminds me of the choices we have to be wilful and obey or whine and wither. What do you see? #2025
