Hebrew 7:12 tells us not only was the Priesthood transferred to HaMashiach, but the law was too.

12 For the priesthood being changed G3346, there is made of necessity a change G3331 also of the law.

Changed – Strong’s G3346 – metatithēmi (me-tä-te’-tha-me)

to transpose (two things, one of which is put in place of the other)

to transfer

to change

to transfer one’s self or suffer one’s self to be transferred

to go or pass over

to fall away or desert from one person or thing to another

Strong’s Definitions

μετατίθημι metatíthēmi, met-at-ith’-ay-mee; from G3326 and G5087; to transfer, i.e. (literally) transport, (by implication) exchange, (reflexively) change sides, or (figuratively) pervert:—carry over, change, remove, translate, turn.

Change – Strong’s G3331 – metathesis (met-ath’-es-is)

transfer: from one place to another

to change

of things instituted or established

transposition, i.e. transferral (to heaven), disestablishment (of a law):—change, removing, translation.

So, you see the Greek shows us that the Priesthood was transposed. The Priesthood of HaMashiach was put in the place of the Levitical Priesthood. We also see that it says because of this change in Priesthood it was necessary that the law be transferred as well. Here is how it reads using those definitions.

12 For the priesthood being transposed G3346, there is made of necessity a transfer G3331 also of the law.

So, if the law governing the Priesthood has been transferred into the New Covenant then that means we are all priests now under HaMashiach. And Peter tells us that we are.

1 Peter 2:9

But YE ARE a chosen generation, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

And if we are the Priesthood then that means we must offer up sacrifices as well.

1 Peter 2:5

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, AN HOLY PRIESTHOOD, TO OFFER UP SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Paul in Romans says –

Romans 7:14

For we know that THE LAW IS SPIRITUAL: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
