What Defines a Man? A Lesson from ToRaH
In today’s world, masculinity is often tied to aggression, dominance, or proving oneself through violence. But as YaShaR'eL, our standard comes from 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, not the world.
What does ToRaH teach about being a man?
A true man is one who fears 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, obeys His commands, and leads with righteousness.
He doesn’t act out of pride or to meet the world’s expectations but follows the path of justice and humility.
"He who is patient is better than the mighty, and he who rules over his spirit than he who takes a city." – Mishlei (Proverbs) 16:32
What does ToRaH say about cowardice?
Cowardice isn’t fear itself but allowing fear to lead to disobedience or abandoning trust in 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄. Those who fear men over ELoHiYM lack faith and strength in spirit.
"Do not be afraid of them, for 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 your ELoHiYM is with you." – DeVaRiYM (Deuteronomy) 20:1
When is it time to go to war?
ToRaH shows us that war is only justified when it is:
1. Commanded by 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄.
2. To defend righteousness or protect the innocent.
Personal vengeance is never our path—it belongs to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 alone.
"Vengeance is Mine, and repayment." – DeVaRiYM (Deuteronomy) 32:35
The true strength of a man lies in:
- His obedience to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄.
- His ability to rule his spirit.
- Trusting 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 for justice, not taking matters into his own hands.
Let us redefine masculinity through the lens of ToRaH, aligning ourselves with the laws and wisdom of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 rather than the fleeting standards of this world.
