Have to include IV. "Ode to Joy" (excerpt) from Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125 (Voice). A true masterpiece. For those of you who have never been exposed to this kind of music, I look forward to hearing your reaction! BTW, Ludvig Van Beethoven was deaf while composing this music!!!
Our inaugural post has to go to the late great Ludvig Van Beethoven! Although not my favorite composer, I feel it would be wrong of me not to start the group off with IV. Allegro. Thunderstorm from Symphony No. 6 in F Major, Op. 68 "Pastoral" (Instrumental). I deeply resonate with the fire, rage, gentleness and passion of Beethoven's music.
