Matthew 3:1-6
[1]In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
[2]And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[3]For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
[4]And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
[5]Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,
[6]And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
Repentance is the message! We have been taught false doctrine which has caused us to be out of order. This even applies to those such as myself walking in this TRUTH. In these passages we find out what repentance is and how we actually are to do it. Most of us know that it is turning away from sin but most of us also know that actually doing so is very trying and sometimes seems impossible to do. This is because we aren't confessing our sins to THE MOST HIGH and allowing HIM to cleanse us of our unrighteousness. This leaves us going thru a water baptism , being submerged and coming up the same as before. Don't get me wrong I felt a change as well as HIS presence but this was all predicated on Faith. The TRUTH of the matter is: I like many of us, came in lacking works (as well as obedience) leaving us dead right after being born again, resulting in a "still birth". I say that to say this:" come alive" repent, confess and be baptized. Be edified and let the WORD be magnified. Praise YAH!
