Prayer of repentance
Inspiration: 2 Kings 17:7- 41 - Ezekiel 16:14-63 - Psalms 51 - Psalms 32 - Matthew 27:25
Oh Yahuah Elohim whom we praise! Blessed is He who comes in the name of Yahuah, Creator of all things, who art fearful and strong and righteous and merciful and the only and gracious king, the only giver of all things, the only just, almighty and everlasting, thou that can deliver Israel from all trouble and did choose our fathers and sanctify them: receive the sacrifice for thy whole people Israel, and preserve thine own portion and sanctify it.
Have mercy upon us Abba Yahuah, according to thy loving -kindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies. Blot out our transgressions. Wash us thoroughly from our iniquity and cleans us from our sin. Abba Yahuah, we acknowledge our transgressions: and our sin is ever before us. We have served many Idols including our flesh putting our desires and vain imaginations before you Yah. We have fornicated. We have whored after and followed the practices of the heathen nations. We have done things in secret against your living word; Yahusha. We built up high towers in all our towns in all our hearts. A stiff-necked and rebellious people we are before you Yahuah.
Father, Abba Yahuah, we repent for grieving and vexing you. We ignored your warnings, met your prophets with hate and unbelief, and did not receive adonai Yahusha but rather boldly stated “His blood be on us, and on our children.” We believed in our deception that your living word was dead and burdensome. We followed worthless idols and became worthless in function ourselves. Abba Yahuah your judgements against us were and are just and righteous. We imitated other nations, we imitated our captors and they became our father and our Elohim.
Abba Yah, we threw away community for individualism, we threw away your commands for humanism, we removed our trust in you and placed it in our captors and our own flesh. We have violated your ways and perverted your statutes and commands mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and comunially. We became worshipers of Baal and sacrificed our sons and daughters in fire. We practiced divination and sought after omens and sold ourselves to do evil in your sight.
Father we persisted in all of our sins to the point of you removing us: divorced: curses chasing us. You kept your word and took us from our home land and scattered us into exile. We played the harlot in ways both known and unknown to us and still we were not satisfied. There is not only innocent blood on our hands but we became lovers of ourselves lusting after our religious fantasies, running from repentance and the work of repentance.
We disrespected and abandoned the widows and the fatherless. We made covenants with cults and religious institutions and gave legal rights to evil spirits to inhabit our generations. Our filthiness was poured out and our nakedness uncovered in our harlotry. Father throw down our shrines and break down our high places. Break up the fallow ground of our hearts. Do not let our ears be hard of hearing or our eyes be dim.
Abba Yahuah we repent, rebuke, denounce and renounce everything that caused you to turn your face from us. Let there be no guile found in our spirit. Let not our moisture be turned into the drought of summer. Father forgive the iniquity of our sins. We turn from our wicked ways this day and return to the covenant you established with us. Abba Yahuah strengthen our hearts to do your will and keep us from being entangled with the snares of this life and father let your word rest in us, father give us a prepared heart and mind for the great calamity and testing that we need to endure, give us a focus like never before on your ways. Abba Yahuah, Yahusha is our Adonai prepare our hearts to deal with the foes of our own household and strengthen our hearts in your perfect judgement so that we do not mourn the wicked so that we don't act like your an unrighteous judge.
Father fix our minds to be the minds of the stranger and pilgrim in this land so we are not so connected to where we can't give up this country and the dreams/aspirations we have in it. Yahuah we no longer desire to be a messiah to ourselves. Todah Yah for your grace and mercy. Allow us to master our flesh and align our will, heart, thoughts, words, deeds with YOUR will - forgive us Abba, have your way in us and we Declare Your Will Be Done Yahuah, The Most High.
