According to Nehemiah 10:31 and Nehemiah 13:15-21, buying and selling on the Sabbath was strictly forbidden.

1749658008Once heading to Sabbath fellowship, it felt like zero degrees, and I had a flat. I recall Luke 14:5, pulling one's ox out of a pit on the Sabbath. I paid a dollar for air and went to a fellowship.
Do you use a microwave to warm up food on the Sabbath (Shabbat)?

1749512451I hate the microwave. I just use an oven, CrockPot or Rice Cooker. A lot of folks don't understand the scriptures and make up rules and regulations for themselves & others. I don't fully blame them. It's out of ignorance, and each family has to act based on their personal convictions. The scripture about not kindling a fire on the Sabbath was specific to Moses commanding our ancestors not to continue working on the Tabernacle during the Sabbath. We were very zealous to build and complete the Tabernacle, and he had to put that regulation to keep us in check. I do prepare my family meals the day before Sabbath.
