Why should it matter what happened long ago? The simple answer is that historical records connect things through time. As humans, a lot of our experiences are rooted in time. The fact that we have Scripture today giving us an account of how the earth was created and Who created it should prove how vitally critical historical records are, so understanding the connections between past and present is essential for recognizing the purpose of the journey of life. As Israelites, our historical record can be found in scripture.

And what land was conquered in all of these instances? And how do the translators of the book tend to name the lands of Israel even while ISRAEL occupies them?
