The book talks about

1. The Idolatrous Elements (The Way of Death)

Yahusaph refuses to kiss Aseneth because a man who worships YAHUAH cannot touch a woman who blesses idols with her lips. The book describes her Egyptian lifestyle as:

The Bread of Strangulation: Food sacrificed to idols.

The Cup of Treachery: Wine from libations poured to false gods.

The Ointment of Destruction: Anointing with oils used in pagan rituals.

2. The Set-Apart Elements (The Way of Life)

Yahusaph explains that those who belong to YAHUAH and look toward the salvation of Yahusha must instead partake of:

The Baruk Bread of Life: Spiritual sustenance for the "made new."

The Baruk Cup of Immortality: The drink that grants eternal life.

The Baruk Ointment of Incorruption: The oil that preserves from decay.

Don't want to spoil it... but YAHUSHA IS ALL THESE THINGS

In the story of Yahusaph and Aseneth, the transformation from the "death" of Egypt to the life of YAHUAH is a spiritual shadow of Pesach (Passover). Yahusha, as our Pesach Lamb, is the ultimate fulfillment of the Baruk (Blessed) Bread, Cup, and Ointment.

Here is how these elements tie into the wording of the book and the scriptural reality of Pesach:

1. Yahusha: The Baruk Bread of Life (The Matzah)
In the book, Aseneth must leave the "bread of strangulation" for the Bread of Life. At Pesach, we remove the leaven (sin/idolatry) to eat the Matzah (unleavened bread).

The Fulfillment: During the Pesach meal, Yahusha took the bread, gave thanks (Baruk), and broke it, saying, "This is My body which is given for you" (Luke 22:19).

The Scripture: He is the "Bread of Life" (John 6:35) who replaces the bread of death. Just as the Israelites ate the Pesach lamb to live, we partake of Him to escape the "strangulation" of sin.

2. Yahusha: The Baruk Cup of Immortality (The Cup of Redemption)

Aseneth trades the "cup of treachery" for the Cup of Immortality. In the Pesach Seder, the third cup is the Cup of Redemption.

The Fulfillment: Yahusha took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the renewed covenant in My blood" (Luke 22:2.

The Scripture: This is the Baruk "Cup of Blessing" (1 Corinthians 10:16). By drinking of His covenant, we pass from the death of Egypt into the immortality of His kingdom.

3. Yahusha: The Baruk Ointment of Incorruption (The Set-Apart Spirit)
Aseneth is told the Ointment of Incorruption will make her "new and refashioned." At Pesach, the blood on the doorpost preserved the Israelites from the "Destroyer" (corruption).

The Fulfillment: Yahusha is the "Holy One" who did not see corruption in the grave (Acts 2:27).

The Scripture: Through His sacrifice at Pesach, we are "anointed" with the Spirit and born of incorruptible seed (1 Peter 1:23). This is the spiritual "ointment" that ensures our bodies will be raised in incorruption (1 Corinthians 15:52-54).

May we continue to seek YAHUSHA more that He transforms us from the inside out.
